You Say Tomato...

Helping Mom water the garden.

Our garden. Tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, basil, rosemary, and strawberries.

We just couldn't wait.

You say tomato, I say "Ball!" and proceed to throw the tomato, luckily Jon was able to catch the tomato/ball and we enjoyed it at dinner with some home grown basil and fresh mozzarella cheese. We have had a few tomatoes and cucumbers so far from our garden. Some critter keeps eating our squash blossoms so they have not been able to mature. I'm hoping to at least get one squash from the bush. But, so far, I would say our garden is a success! We love having fresh veggies! To eat and play with!

Ah, NYC. We love thee! A trip to NJ isn't complete without a day trip into the city. Unfortunately, we didn't run into any of the Housewives. We did however go to Times Square, Rockefeller, Toys R Us, H&M, ate yummy pizza, and walked around a ton. All in all, a successful New York trip!

Strawberry Fields Forever

Right outside of Wilmington is Lewis Farms, where we ventured the last Thursday in April. They have pick your own fields, and we couldn't wait to take McKinley. We had an amazing time picking (and eating) plump and sweet strawberries from the bush. We ended our journey with cups of fresh, hand made, strawberry ice cream, a well known delicacy in these parts. It was the perfect ending to a hot dirty day on the farm!
