Sunday at the Beach

Grandma Maddie decided to come visit us for the weekend. We just hung out, went to church, and spent some quality time at The Club, one of our favorite destinations and the site of Jon's and my wedding! It was nice visiting with Mom and we all had a great time!

Beach Days

Nothing is better in the summer than spending some time on Wrightsville Beach. Christina and I have been doing that ALL our lives, literally, every summer since we have been born. What a great tradition to pass on to my son!

Happy 4th of July 2009!

We had a quite 4th of July this year. It was just us and Jon grilled some steaks to celebrate. We didn't even need to leave to see the fireworks as we could see the big downtown display right from our condo! It was nice for our little family to catch up after a busy couple of weeks traveling. We hope everyone had a great 4th as well!

Jordan Lake

Each summer, we have been spending a lot of time at Jordan Lake. Jon's parents are huge RV camping fans and love spending time camping at the lake. We visit them whenever they are there and we always have a great time. Its even more of a treat now that the pontoon boat is fixed! We also love visiting with great friends while in Chapel Hill and the above picture is us with Jon's bestfriends, Jodi and Sarah's, new daughter, Adina. AKA McKinley's future girlfriend!

Recently Christina and I took McKinley to New Jersey for his first Northern Exposure! Many firsts on this trip... and the most important one being meeting the Vargas side of the family! We also got to visit with my Mom as she packed to move from the place we have called "home" for seven years! Lots of work! We had a great time visiting with all our family. However, hopefully next time we will fly as we have learned McKinley DOES NOT like long car rides! Ahh! Also, we really missed Daddy!!
