For our second round of Thanksgiving, we all met at Aunt Gay's in Raleigh and had a feast!! We also got to see her recently renovated kitchen and dining areas, so pretty! McKinley loved all the people, and there was a gang as usual! We all had a great day!

This year we were thankful for so many things! Another blessed year with McKinley, good health, and a Thanksgiving visit from mom and Rick! Its been years since we shared a Thanksgiving, so we were all excited about cooking, eating, talking, and catching up! McKinley warmed right up to Grandma and Grandpa and loved all the attention (of course!). We ate tons of food, polished off just a few (wink wink) bottles of wine, and have taken away memories of a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Grandpa Lou and the Fun Things We Do!

When Grandpa Lou comes to town, its always a treat!! We had lots of Italian food and kept busy visiting all sorts of places. We went to the Aquarium where I meet an alligator I liked. I enjoyed seeing the fish as well, but not as much as Grandpa Lou, he could watch them for hours! We visited Aunt Christina at her place and I played with my favorite thing there, her bead necklaces, don't I look handsome? Then everyone came over to my place where we grilled some steaks and veggie kabobs, yum yum yum! I love when Grandpa Lou comes into town!!

We had an amazing Halloween this year! We stayed true to tradition and spent the night with Sarah, Jody, and Adina and other friends. We had lots of great food and fun!!

North Carolina State Fair 2010

Once upon a time in a magical place called "The Fair"....

I visited LOTS of cows! I was so excited, I ran into the middle of it all, threw my arms into the air, and yelled "Moooooo!!"

I rode a race car with Daddy! (See me in there... I'm very short in the middle)


I went on a magical train with Mommy.

And my favorite was the Wiggly Worm that Daddy and I took a ride on! I had so much fun on these that I cried each time they stopped and Mom and Dad had to take me off.

But, they did give me some Lemonade which did make those lemons much more sweet.

I had such a great time at the fair that I fell asleep on the walk back to the car!

Pumpkin Painting (and carving) Party!

October is the perfect time to paint (and carve) lots of pumpkins!! The weekend before Halloween, Jon's friends had a party to do just that! We ate tons of delicious food, talked around the fire, and of course, painted and carved pumpkins! There was about 30 pumpkins to be carved and we lined up all the finished jack o lanterns together and it made quite the display! McKinley really enjoyed sitting with all the other kids to paint his pumpkin! He did such a great job!

I think the tractors were McKinley's favorite part of the farm... He LOVED them! He constantly wanted to go on them and play! It was so cute.

October is the perfect time to visit a farm! This year, we tried out Mike's Farm. (Along with the rest of Wilmington!) Although it was pretty crowded, McKinley had an amazing time running around looking at all the pumpkins, sitting on the trailer, and doing all the other fun things a farm has to offer. We ended up getting a cute little pumpkin and a gourd that now decorate our front porch steps. It was an adventure we will all remember!
