Carolina Beach

Jon finally took a few days off, the third week in September, when his family came into town to stay at an ocean front condo in Carolina Beach. Brad borrowed a 4x4 truck from work and we took full advantage of being able to drive onto the North end of Carolina Beach. We went during the day and again in the evening, both times of the day there were beautiful! At the tip of the North end, a tide pool regularly forms and McKinley had a BLAST "swimming" around in it! He went full force with all his clothes on, which we had to remove, so he was baby skinny dipping in the tide pool! He even started swim-crawling a little which, I think, has to be the beginning of learning how to swim! It was so much fun watching as he got up, fell down, and repeated, for as long as we let him, and we let him for a while.

You Tube

TheDawsons0405 is now a You Tube channel that will feature videos of the famous McKinley. Currently, we have two videos, one is McKinley in the sprinkler and the other is this video, McKinley dancing or rather spinning in circles to a country song Daddy had on the tv. Hope everyone checks out our You Tube site and enjoys all the videos and blogs that we post! Love you all!

Chuck E Cheese

McKinley loves running around wild. McKinley loves pizza. McKinley and Chuck E Cheese = a match made in heaven. Our baby sitter, Tammy took him to Chuck E Cheese one Friday while she was watching him and said he had SO much fun that Jon and I were motivated to try it as well. And she was right, he had a BLAST! We "drove" all the moving rides, watched big kids throwing balls, and enjoyed lunch and a show - pizza and the big singing characters. Straight from the eighties. Ah, Chuckie, what would a labor day weekend be with out you?

Focus on the Coast

September 2010 Issue. Page 53. McKinley's moment of fame.

Focus on the Coast is a great local magazine that comes out monthly and has a huge following in Wilmington. Of course, McKinley finds it enthralling and sat down for a good read when the new issue came out. I had to take a picture and emailed it to a lady who works for Focus on the Coast. She then asked me if they could use the picture in one of their ads. Um, of course!!
The Ad tag line: "It's never too soon to find your Focus. Where do you read your Focus?"
He is also in their flash slide show on their website! Check it out:

Be patient its a bunch of images in!
