Aquarium at Fort Fisher

McKinley's face at the first fish tank. He is such a ham!

He got a little scared until he realized they can't get him. Then he wanted to touch them.

At the touch tank.

We took a walk in their gardens, it was so nice!

The Aquarium at Fort Fisher is less than half an hour away from our house which makes us pretty lucky. It is the perfect place to visit on a cloudy summer day and we felt like we were on a mini vacation away from our regular daily schedule, which may be one of the reasons we had so much fun. It probably also had something to do with the fact that McKinley was so good and loved it! We let him explore to his heart's content. One of the funniest things happened there as well, in the concession area, in front of a group of about 20 people, McKinley put on a show. There was music in the background and he started dancing like crazy in front of everyone! Everyone in the crowd was laughing. It was starting to rain but, that didn't slow down our little dancer from shakin' his groove thang.

Pontoon

Jordon Lake 2010
Lake season has started and we couldn't be happier. It all kicked off celebrating Jon's Birthday with, you guessed it, steaks on the grill. Sunday was spent in the sun on the pontoon and lake side. McKinley loved the boat ride! He helped Daddy drive and even took a couple of naps while on the boat! Gma Kathy and Gpa Travis are Camp Hosts again this summer which essentially means, they will be at Jordon Lake all summer! We can't wait to visit again!

Planting with Pop

McKinely helped Pop plant tomatoes! And squash and cucumbers! Very excited to see if all the hard work pays off. Either way, we had a fun time planting with Pop! Grandma supervised!

Grandpa Lou in Wilmington

Dad and Christina outside her new apartment.

Playing on the slide at Wimbledon Chase

Feeling the water... it was cold!

Loving it after we got used to the temperature and the waves! He wanted to keep going in!

Sand Worm!

Late in April, Grandpa Lou and Eileen came to Wilmington to make a much anticipated visit. We all had a lot of fun. Dad had to check up on our new places since Christina and I have both moved since his last visit. We had pizza and salad at Christina's new apartment at Wimbledon Chase on Friday night. We also took a walk and saw her amenities which include a really nice playground and a pool (can't wait to use that!). Then Saturday was Jon's Birthday!! He had to work so we went to the beach for a couple of hours and then everyone came over to our place and we grilled up some steaks, Jon's fave! We also had his other fave - cupcakes! It was such a great weekend, and went by in a flash, of course!
